Was active as a live dj from very late 1970's to 2017, now do only radio apart from very occasional onstage appearances. Dabbled in radio first on piped cable station in Basildon and later on FM pirate radio in Essex plus a stint at Starpoint Radio (internet /satellite) before joining Stomp.     One of the original Margate soul weekender dj's, also a fixture at the biannual Caister soul weekenders from 2003 to 2017. Although I like a lot of musical genres including soul, funk, blues, jazz, disco, gospel, rock'n'roll and old school rhythm & blues I also enjoy the more soulful and jazzy bits of house music and some of the neo soul. Having said all that, I do get a bit picky about newer stuff! My main interest is in soul music from the 1960's and 1970's, particularly some of the more obscure and underplayed tunes from the 1970's and that's what my show is built around.

Started out at the age of 15 as a DJ at School in 1974 then progressed to being a Mobile DJ in 1976 at the age of 16.  In 1978 worked alongside some of the Main named DJ’s  like Steve Howlett ( Froggy ) Tony Blackburn Radio London, Colin Hudd ( Flicks ), Greg Edwards ( Soul Spectrum), Pete Tong, Tom Holland, Larry Foster, Ian Reading ( Zero 6 ) Also worked at Disco Supplies supplying all the Clubs and DJ’s of the time. Clubs worked : Greyhound, Connelly’s, Arbie’s, Mirror’s, Dun Cow, Epping forest Country Club, Cheeks, Billy Jeans, Elliott’s, Flamingos, Cinderella’s, Impressions, King Arthurs Court, Kings Lodge, Flick’s, Nero’s, Regency, Joanna’s, Pink Flamingo, Kent Hall, Boxley Country Club, Victoria’s,  Zhivago’s and many others. Music featured – Smooth easy listen Soul and Soulful Jazz Funk from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and up to date.

I have been a DJ for over 30 years DeeJaying in clubs and held various club residencies during that time. I joined Stomp Radio June 2017, of which previously was a presenter on 2 other radio stations. In my show I play various genres Soul from 70's to current Soul, RnB, Soulful House, and a little a Reggae.

In 1986, a group of us started stomp fm, a London wide pirate station on 105.4 fm with 4 other people, 2 of these Phil Roberts and Scott James and who are currently involved with stompradio.com.  This ran to the early 90s in 1993 we started concept fm, firstly on 105.4 and then we had to move about a bit to different frequencies.  This ran till about 96-97 I then went on groove fm for about a year I have also done 1 show with Phil Roberts on soul 24-7 internet radio. And now on stompradio.com since the launch may 09 Playing soul, funk jazz/funk 70s, 80s and 90s
