As a young teenager i listened to many pirate radio stations brought up on a diet of Soul and Soulful & Classic House.

Across the board blending the new with the old, from the mellow all the way to the dance floor soul.

Was active as a live dj from very late 1970's to 2017, now do only radio apart from very occasional onstage appearances. Dabbled in radio first on piped cable station in Basildon and later on FM pirate radio in Essex plus a stint at Starpoint Radio (internet /satellite) before joining Stomp.     One of the original Margate soul weekender dj's, also a fixture at the biannual Caister soul weekenders from 2003 to 2017. Although I like a lot of musical genres including soul, funk, blues, jazz, disco, gospel, rock'n'roll and old school rhythm & blues I also enjoy the more soulful and jazzy bits of house music and some of the neo soul. Having said all that, I do get a bit picky about newer stuff! My main interest is in soul music from the 1960's and 1970's, particularly some of the more obscure and underplayed tunes from the 1970's and that's what my show is built around.

The Fat Trick (3 songs based on a topic or artist 1 played in each hour) Four After 4 (more music no chat) Reggae Round Up – (3 Reggae tracks back to back to back) Mummy’s Tunes (Old timers trackers) As a presenter I have not been afraid to play what I want to play – within the parameters of it being based on the thread of soul and as a former Radio London Soul Night Out & Kiss 100FM Presenter/DJ – I bring a balanced amount of experience which is reflected in the SOUNDS OF FATNESS moniker! When I play, I want people to just enjoy the music and not follow the crowd like sheep – playing outside of the box. As a presenter I prefer talking over mixing which is a staple of what to expect when seeing me when I am playing out. I try ensure that I play an eclectic selection of Soul, Reggae, Slow, Old & Dance tunes all mixed in to take you around the world of a musical selection.

Two hours of the best in old and new soulful sounds spanning the genres, with regular features like the bumpy bangers, jazzy nuggets and the listeners three in a row.
